THE PROGRAM


The Day Intensive Program (DIP) is the largest intensive ESL program in New York City and one of the largest in the United States.

The program offers

  • Full-time academic ESL instruction.
  • Two schedules: Monday through Friday (morning program) or Monday through Thursday (afternoon program). See Yearly Calendar for more details.
  • 10 levels of proficiency, from beginner to advanced.
  • A comprehensive curriculum that helps students develop the academic English language skills needed to succeed in college, graduate school or a professional career.
  • Specialized workshops and electives that intermediate and advanced students can choose from, including: Dance as a Second Language, Website Design, Business English, Grammar, Vocabulary, College Preparation, Movie Making, American Popular Culture and many more.
  • Entrance to LaGuardia College without taking the TOEFL test for those students who finish the highest level.
